Weekly Rides

Stay Park City Cycling offers weekly rides that are inclusive, appropriately paced, fun, and social, with a place for everyone from highly competitive racers to newer, older, and more recreational riders. While many of our members ride road, gravel, and mountain bikes, the core of the weekly program focuses on road riding, with gravel and mountain biking mixed in through select Saturday and marquee rides. Our Sunday road ride is the club’s flagship weekly ride and the anchor of the program.

The rides will begin at Cole Sport and end at Urban Sailor Coffee on Iron Horse Drive.

Most rides are open to non-members, so feel free to join us and see what the club is about. Just be sure to sign a waiver.

What to Expect

Our weekly rides are organized around clearly defined ride types and groups so riders can better understand the intended pace, terrain, and overall experience before they roll out.

Across our rides, riders can expect:

  • Clear group structure and ride purpose

  • A welcoming environment for new and returning riders

  • Strong emphasis on safety, etiquette, and group awareness

Not every ride is for every rider, and that is okay. The goal is to offer a range of rides and groups that are appropriately easy or challenging, clearly understood, and enjoyable to be part of.

Ride Culture

SPCC rides are welcoming, organized, and enjoyable.

Ride leaders help set the tone, riders help create a good group experience, and each ride has a clear character that participants can understand before they join. That means:

  • Riding safely and predictably

  • Respecting the purpose and pace of the group

  • Helping new riders feel welcome

  • Looking out for one another

  • Being courteous to other road and trail users

  • Bringing a positive, inclusive attitude to the ride

SUN

SUNDAY ROAD WORSHIP

Our signature weekly road ride and the foundation of the SPCC road program. Built around multiple groups with distinct ride experiences, it gives riders a dependable weekly road offering and a strong community touchpoint, with options that range from more social to more challenging.

WED

WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORLDS(WNW)

Wednesday Night Worlds is the most competitive road ride environment. It is intended for advanced racers who are comfortable with a fast, more demanding pace.

TUE

RIDE AND SHINE

A midweek road ride for riders looking for a workout before the day gets going. This ride is generally best suited for intermediate riders and is intended to be more focused and fitness-oriented than our more social ride formats.

SAT

SATURDAY SPECIALTY RIDES (MONTHLY)

Saturday rides are monthly specialty offerings, typically built around either road or gravel and often departing from a different location. They give us space for marquee ride experiences beyond the core weekly road lineup, while still carrying clear expectations around purpose, pace, safety, and ride culture.

Safety first

KNOW THE RULES

Safety is a core part of the SPCC ride experience, not a side note.

Before joining a ride, all riders should understand basic group riding etiquette, know the rules of the road or trail, and ride in a way that supports the safety of the group as a whole. Riders are also expected to be courteous to other road and trail users. Please review our safety guidance before joining a weekly ride.

MEMBERSHIPS

You do not need to be a member to join a ride.

Joining a weekly ride is one of the best ways to meet the club, get a feel for the different groups, and find the riding community that fits you best. If you enjoy the experience, we would love to have you join the club. Being a member offers many benefits.

Electric Bike Policy

Stay Park City Cycling supports and allows the use of electric bicycles that are pedal-assisted for members over the age of 60 on Class 1 or Class 3 e-bikes, which meet the specifications provided below and are consistent with Utah and Federal Law.

Class 1 and Class 3 e-bikes, which are pedal-assisted e-bikes (i.e., e-bikes that can only be operated by being pedaled by the rider with pedaling assisted by a small electric motor), are permitted to be ridden on Club rides. Riders of Class 1 and Class 3 e-bikes must follow the rules established for e-bikes within the Utah Vehicle Code. This includes following the rules of the road that apply to standard bicycles.

On any Club ride, e-bike riders shall adhere to riding guidelines and practices set forth under Safety Guidelines for group rides. Additionally, we ask electric bike users not to set the pace, surge, or push the group speed.

Electric bikes are not allowed in the more aggressive “drop” groups (known as the “A group” or “Chase Group”).
