All groups at a glance

  • Shootout

Our fastest and most competitive group. This is a hard, performance-oriented drop ride that may include elite and professional-level racers. Riders should be comfortable going fast, handling stiff accelerations, and riding in close proximity to others. Riders who find the pace too challenging can fall back and join a following group.

Typical pace: 20+ to 23+ mph
Typical ride duration: Around 3 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • Pursuit

A strong and challenging drop ride for experienced riders. This group is intended for riders who are comfortable riding steadily in a group environment and enjoy pushing the pace. The group regroups at the top of climbs, and riders who find the pace too challenging can fall back and join a following group.

Typical pace: 17+ to 21+ mph
Typical ride duration: Around 3 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • A supportive, moderately challenging group for riders who want to work within a steady and controlled ride dynamic. This group is for riders who want to get their heart rate up, but ripping your friends’ — or your own — legs off is not the vibe. The ride leader dictates the pace from the front, middle, or back. If a rider is pulling away from the ride leader, they should ease up. There are natural stop and wait points along each route, but this is a drop ride as there are groups following behind.

Typical pace: 15+ to 18 mph
Typical ride duration: Around 3 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • A women-only social, mellow-paced, no-drop Sunday group designed to be inclusive, supportive, and welcoming. It typically follows the same route as Spins and Grins. The ride leader dictates the pace, and the group stays together. This group is ideal for riders looking for a comfortable, social ride with a dedicated space to connect and ride together. Women are welcome and encouraged to ride in any group, while also having this dedicated option available.

Typical pace: 12 to 15 mph
Typical ride duration: About 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • A social and approachable no-drop group that generally rides the full route distance. This group is centered on cohesion and riding together at a comfortable, consistent pace. The ride leader dictates the pace from the front, middle, or back. If you are pulling away from the ride leader, you should ease up. It is ideal for riders who enjoy full-route mileage but care most about group cohesion, conversation, and consistency. Blasting off the front or pushing the pace is not the Sunday Social vibe.

Typical pace: 14 to 17 mph
Typical ride duration: About 2.5 to 3.25 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • A very social, mellow-paced no-drop group focused on fun, comfort, inclusion, and staying together. This group usually rides an abbreviated version of the week’s route and is a great option for riders looking for a lighter, more relaxed experience. The ride leader dictates the pace from the front, middle, or back. If you are pulling away from the ride leader, you should ease up.

Typical pace: 13 to 16 mph
Typical ride duration: About 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on route and conditions

  • A super social, easy-paced, no-drop in-town ride with shorter mileage and a relaxed, approachable feel. This group is ideal for riders looking for the easiest Sunday option, whether you are new to group riding, want a lighter spin, or simply want to enjoy the scenery and company. The pace should stay comfortable and conversational throughout.

    Typical pace:
    12 to 15 mph
Typical ride duration: About 2, depending on route and conditions

WEEKLY RIDES

Across all groups, ride leaders are in charge and riders are expected to follow their instructions. Aggressive or anti-social ride behavior is not tolerated. Riders should choose the group that best matches their fitness, comfort, and desired ride experience. If you are looking for a harder, faster, or more dynamic ride, move up a group rather than changing the character or pace of a group below.

For no-drop groups, the expectation is that the group stays together and follows the ride leader’s guidance. In no-drop groups, if you are pulling away from the ride leader, the pace is too fast, and you should ease up so the group stays together.

Safety and Waiver

Each Sunday ride begins with a brief kickoff that includes group assignments, ride expectations, and key safety reminders. Non-members must complete the club waiver before participating. A QR code is available at Sunday rides to make waiver sign-up easy.

Additional safety guidance, including best practices for group riding, is available on our website.
